Using the watching model, some of my favorite activities are done outdoors along with working on computers. So many of the things I do work with google earth, topographical maps, gps units, and hunting or fishing. One of the things that are near and dear to my heart is hunting. We have a hunting cabin, and several thousand acres to hunt on throughout northern ND. Some of the things we do to help hold the deer population on our land is plant food plots, and feed the deer other nutrition through different types of feed. We use corn, grains, sunflowers, sugar beets, and many other things to get the deer through tough ND winters.
One of the big things going on right now in ND and through the last couple of state sessions is trying to ban "baiting" of animals. This is the feeding of animals through different methods including but not limited to pouring food on the ground in strategic areas. I feel that if we are not able to "bait", it will hurt the animals because they will most likely not have enough food to get them through the harsh winters, and there would be many less animals in the state for others to enjoy.
One of the big things that many people think is that with that many animals together and that close to one another that there is going to be a better chance of the animals contracting different diseases.
